Women held a celebration event on August 9 in Makhulong to honour women during Women’s Month.
Princess Dlamini co-hosted the event called Noble Woman and was their first annual event.
“The topic of the event was: let us fix each other’s crown and heal the wounds because women are hurt in their souls.
“Our guest speaker was an organiser of healing women’s wounds and psychologist Zola Ngidi from Port Shepstone,” said Dlamini.
She said on the day they were celebrating women, teaching them how to properly apply make-up, how to dress up and also healing the spiritual part of women. Dlamini said what inspired the event is when women meet on the street they share problems, thinking they are alone but she said there is more behind the make-up they wear in public.
Dlamini said women who attended the event were invited through social media.
She was happy with the turnout and felt the dialogue had an impact on overcoming obstacles and equipping women with financial knowledge.
“The more we teach women, the easier it becomes for them to share the knowledge with their children.
“Our future plan is to host events for all women in Tembisa because we have realised we only have these events in churches.
“We do not have such events that are open to entire society.”
She said Noble Woman targets women of all ages and does not discriminate against anyone.
Dlamini thanked everyone who attended the event and said it humbles them to have people coming from as far as Daveyton.
Co-founder Lerato Mmatli said it was a good, relaxing session.
“We will have another event in October and the invite will be put out soon,” said Mmatli.
Attendee Mathapelo Ncube said the event was nice and commended the organiser for the sterling job of gathering women to discuss their issues.
“It was very inspirational and as women, we need to attend more of these events.
“I have learned that as a woman I have to look after myself.
“As a woman, you must surround yourself with positive people,” said Mmatli.
