Community project supports needy learners at Inxiweni Primary School

'Through all these programmes, we want young people and the youth to be taught responsibility and the purpose of Ubuntu'

Members of Siyagqabhisa Community Project have offered a helping hand to the underprivileged learners of Inxiweni Primary School by donating 11 pairs of new school shoes and 50 sanitary towels.

According to the founder and director of Siyagqabhisa Community Project, Siyabonga Maphanga, they wanted to reach out to needy learners within the school.

“Our aim is to help young people and the youth to reach their dreams. We are only hoping the little we contributed to the school will help empower the children to have more courage and take their education more seriously,” said Maphanga.

Girl learners at Inxiweni Primary School are each holding a packet of sanitary towels.

Maphanga, who is a senior pastor at Victory Family Centre International, added as an organisation, they’ve reached their goal, which is to plough back into the community.

“We will always help the school where we can as a non-profit organisation. We are hoping the beneficiaries have learnt that in life people need each other to be able to live in a better society,” said Maphanga.

Inxiweni-based Siyagqabhisa Community Project runs various programmes, such as computer training, business expos, career seminars, a soup kitchen, among other charitable projects.

“Through all these programmes, we want young people and the youth to be taught responsibility and the purpose of Ubuntu,” added Maphanga.

The school principal, Ruth Nozibele Tabu, said there is no doubt that good quality education at a primary level within a good conducive school environment will provide children with a solid foundation and love for the school experience.

“We would like to express our sincere gratitude for the wonderful support the organisation has shown our disadvantaged learners,” added Tabu.

She added the seed of success Siyagqabhisa Community Project has planted will never be wiped away by anyone as they have started to build a relationship.

“The partnership and support in this regard will have a huge impact in building a better country and developing future leaders who will, in turn, contribute towards building a better country. We thank you for your contribution in uplifting our community,” said Tabu.
