Stepping Stones host annual fun walk

Learners, teachers and parents gathered for Stepping Stones Pre-School’s annual fun walk.

Fun, laughter and exercise were the order of Stepping Stones Pre-School’s fun walk on Saturday. The annual walk was not only meant to get the children stepping out but also served as a fund-raiser for the school.

“This is our 10th annual fun walk and it was a success,” said Darlene Weber, school principal.

“Every year we host the walk and raise funds for the school and this year we are raising funds for fencing and sound equipment we need for when we have concerts and other events.”

Parents, teachers and siblings also joined the learners during their 1.5km walk.

Teachers and parents enjoyed the walk and were happy to sing and dance with the learners in the warm weather.

In high spirits and energy, the children sang and danced throughout the fun exercise that saw them take a walk around the block.

Members of the extramural programme at the school, Soccercise Starz, were also present. They helped lead the walk and facilitated fun and interesting activity games after the walk.

The learners also enjoyed hot dogs and juice.

“Thank you to all the parents. They really supported the event and helped to make it a success. A big thank you to all the staff members, they were all present and ready to assist where necessary, it is greatly appreciated,” concluded Weber.
