WATCH: Resident turns 50 in style

Selloane Mofokeng’s children surprised her with a special 50th birthday party.

According to online findings South Africa has the lowest lifespan and to get to 60 years old is actually more than a blessing for many people.

On November 10, Selloane Mofokeng turned 50 years old and she invited The Tembisan to come and share the happy moments with her. Scores of church members, family and community members came to share the happy day.

“My children threw this party for me and the turnout was good. It was nice and many people attended and I think everybody was happy. I want to thank my children for the gesture and hope that they do the same thing for their own children,” Mofokeng said proudly.

The prestigious event took place in Makholong park known as Simon Mbele Park.

“I praise God for keeping me this long,” said Mofokeng.

Sayi Mofokeng, (Selloane’s daughter), said her mother has always wanted a special 50th birthday party.

“Today we made our mother’s dream to come true. We are excited that the event went well,” said Sayi.

Selloane Mofokeng is looking forward to more years of healthy life.
