Lovely Christmas party for gogos of Ward 111
The gogos struggling with poor health conditions were each given some pills to boost their immune system.
Lifestyle Butchery threw an early Christmas party for the gogos of Ward 111 in Ebony Park on December 6.
They were showered with gifts and served with a delicious lunch prepared for them by the host Lifestyle Butchery, which is a division of Khuya-Health Group, a company which is owned by Nhlanhla Ndlovu.
Ndlovu has shown some love by not only hosting the gogos but also organised transport to take them home after the party.
The gogos struggling with poor health conditions were each given some pills to boost their immune system.
They ate, danced and sang songs to show some appreciations and to say thank you.
This event was in line with 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children.
“Our grannies are pillars of our community. We must protect and look after them,” said Clr Raisibe Matsemela.
“Most of us were raised by grannies back then. Our grannies don’t belong to the retirement village or the old age homes. They belong to the community. They need our care and support,” said Ndlovu.
