Restaurant owner expresses gratitude to Tembisa residents

Business owner shows gratitude to community that supports him.

Tembisa residents flocked to Delisabhem African Food’s 10-year anniversary celebrated in Emmangweni Section on November 24.

Delisa Bhembe, Founder and owner of Delisabhem African Food, said he wanted to thank Tembisa residents for showing him so much support in his business venture.

“I started this business in 2008 after my release from prison after serving seven years of a 15 years sentence for robbery.

“I learned all these cooking skills from prison after working at the main kitchen and prison restaurant,” said Bhembe.

He said among his guests were his customers, neighbours, fellow business people and friends.

“I want to make a special mention of Xolani Skosana, Tebogo Miya, Bongani Mathibela, Sipho Dhladhla well-known business man Kabelo Sibisi, Gcinaphi Tembisa’s top chef, Andile Sebastian, successful clothing designer, Busisiwe Nkosi organiser of 1632 Peagent, Nelisiwe Neli, Fondo Mthimkhulu and Rebecca Makadu. I want to thank all of these people for making Delisabhem African Food’s 10-year anniversary celebration a success,” said Bhembe.
