Tembisa welcomes Christmas babies

Tembisa Hospital delivered 39 babies on December 25.

As the country celebrated the 2018 Christmas, Tembisa Hospital confirmed that 39 babies were delivered on December 25, 2018.

The hospital wished to share the joy with Tembisa residents.

The hospital’s communications officer, Shirley Matjila, said 23 of the babies born on the day were males and 16 females.

“The first baby boy was given gifts by the nursing manager, Wilfred Mothwane, professional nurse Philda Makweya and the hospital’s matron, Gordon Sarah.

“They all expressed their delight in welcoming all the Christmas babies.

“The baby boy, weighing 2.7kg, arrived at 15 minutes after midnight.

“His mother is Thulisile Nkosi,” said Matjila.

Thulisile Nkosi delighted to welcome her baby.

She said the second baby is a girl weighing 3.1kg. She arrived at 1.35am and her mother is Zintle Ntshayi.

“The third baby was a boy weighing 3.1kg. He arrived at 1.45am and his mother is Veronica Nyathi.

“The fourth baby was a boy weighing 3.2kg. He arrived at 5.05am and his mother is Lavender Ngwenya.

“The fifth baby was a boy weighing 2.8kg. He arrived at 5.20am and his mother is Caroline Monyama,” said Matjila.

The Tembisan is delighted to welcome the Christmas babies.
