Thembisa South SAPS honours Lieutenant Colonel Nzuza at retirement
Lieutenant Colonel Nzuza received a final salute and heartfelt farewell from colleagues, SAPS management and community partners at his retirement ceremony.
Thembisa South Police Station bids farewell to Lieutenant Colonel Nzuza on August 31 as he retired from the South African Police Service (SAPS) after years of dedicated service.
Staff members gathered to honour the retiring officer and recognise his legacy of service, leadership, dedication and commitment to SAPS.
The ceremony provided a dignified platform for SAPS management, colleagues, stakeholders, the Employee Health and Wellness (EHW) chaplain, Community Police Engagement (CPE) representatives and community partners to share messages of gratitude and goodwill.

Nzuza received a respectful and memorable final salute in recognition of his rank and years of service. The station commander and stakeholders present formally acknowledged his contribution.
The retiring officer was also allowed to deliver his farewell message and words of appreciation.
The gathering also strengthened relationships between SAPS management, members, EHW, CPE and external stakeholders, while motivating members through the example he set during his career.
The event was held under the theme, “A Legacy of Service, A Future of Possibilities.”
The ceremony concluded with a celebratory send-off as Nzuza began his retirement, with colleagues and partners wishing him a fulfilling and joyful new chapter.
