SPCA animals need blankets for coming winter
Donate a blanket and help keep the animals at Kempton Park SPCA warm and cozy during winter.

Kempton Park SPCA launched its blanket drive in an effort to help keep the animals warm during the winter season.
“Winter is fast approaching and through the drive we appeal to community members to donate blankets to ensure our animals are warm and cozy during the cold weather,” said Kira Sparrow, manager at Kempton Park SPCA.
“Please think about the dogs and cats in our kennels while you are snug at home. We would like each bed to be layered with at least three blankets.”
Sparrow said the society has 100 kennels.
“We ask for stormy or army blankets as we are able to wash and reuse them because they do not disintegrate in the washing machine as typical ‘dog’ blankets do,” explained Sparrow.
Community members are welcome to drop off the blankets at the society situated at Fitter Road in Spartan.
