Hollywoodbets Kempton Park supports Tembisa Child Welfare

Tembisa Child and Family Welfare Society receives help.

The Tembisa Child & Family Welfare Society has, since 1986, been making a valuable contribution to their community, by providing residential care to 103 children and have helped secure foster placements for 1 500 children in Tembisa.

They also offer family preservation programmes, crisis intervention, family reunification services and care for those affected by HIV/Aids. Additionally, they have created a sewing project that helps to upskill and provide work to the unemployed youth.

Simoné Scott, Hollywoodbets communications officer, said Hollywoodbets Kempton Park decided to make a donation to this fantastic cause because they render such important services that help the community.

“The team visited the centre to hand deliver a fridge, washing machine, four irons and ironing boards, two sewing machines, as well as four heaters.

“Everyone was overjoyed to receive this donation and there was much celebration and dancing over a shared meal,” said Scott.

Deputy director of Tembisa Child & Family Welfare Society Lindi Molefe said they will now be able to store food for their children.

“The washing machine, irons and ironing boards will help us care for the children’s clothes, while the heaters will help keep them warm during the cold weather we experience in winter. Thank you Hollywoodbets,” she said.
