Tembisa-born Mr SA finalist hopes to create change through the title

Mr SA finalist Moloko Ramalobela has bigger dreams.

Tembisa-born model and finalist of Mr SA 2020 Moloko Whitey Ramalobela knows he has bigger shoes to fill should he win this coveted title.

Born and bred in Winnie Mandela Zone 2, Ramalobela says he has been an ardent modelling fan all his life, which has since seen him entering and participating in a number of modelling contests, including the annual Mr SA competition.

“I have always been a huge modelling fan. This is something I have always wanted to do, whether in fashion or entering pageants. I knew I belonged on the ramp,” he says.

To make it to the top and get to participate in the grand finale, Ramalobela will need the community’s support by voting for him. To vote for him, simply SMS the words MRSA 79 to 40439.

Voting can also be done by scanning the zipper code on his picture on the Mr SA website.

Ramalobela says he would love to plough back to the community by establishing educational and empowering seminars which he would use to educate aspiring models.

“I have realised that people want to be models but don’t know where to start. They actually want to start on top. “Many people don’t actually know the kind of responsibilities that come with being a model and on the lime light.

“And so, I would like to teach our people, especially those who still want to come into this industry, that they can make modelling their careers.

“I would also like to educate our parents to support their kids who have modelling aspirations,” he says.

He adds that if he were to be crowned Mr SA, he would also focus on creating a platform for men to tackle deep issues, such as domestic violence and depression.

“I would like to start a group for men where we teach them how to treat their women and children,” says Ramalobela.

Mr South Africa aims to find the best brand ambassadors to serve the country as role models for younger generations and to create a symbol of hope, equality and diversity and to represent the nation on international stages.
