The driver of a bakkie was killed on the R21 south near Witfontein on Monday morning around 6am.

According to Shawn Herbst, spokesperson for Netcare 911, the driver lost control of the vehicle, which resulted in the vehicle overturning.

Ekurhuleni Fire and Rescue Services used hydraulic tools to free the driver from the wreckage.
