Business guru gives back to Montshepesha Day Care Centre
Soundy said he was touched by the centre’s efforts to help look after the little children.
Local business magnet Gavin Soundy continues to touch and change lives.
This businessman of note recently donated much-needed computers, chairs and tables and signage to the Montshepesha Day Care Centre situated next to the Limindlela Train Station.
Accompanied by members of the local SAPS during this handover, Soundy who is no stranger to such good deeds, said he was touched by the centre’s efforts to help look after the little children.
“Besides the fact that I have a business not so far from this day care centre, I was touched by their effort and dedication in serving the community despite the lack of resources they were faced with.
“This is just a small token to help ease their burden and now the children will have decent tables to do their drawings and colouring,” said Soundy.
Always not shy to open his heart and wallet to the aid of those less privileged, Soundy said he will continue with his community development programme where he helps those who are in need.
He has over the years been donating school uniforms, shoes, food parcels and other necessities to those coming from disadvantaged backgrounds.
“There is a lot of work that needs to be done. I cannot just sit around and do nothing when there are so many people out there, especially children who still go to school without proper school uniform and decent shoes. I know, I cannot do it in just one day and all by myself, but I take comfort that one child is saved
from humiliation and poverty. One child at a time and with more other business people and ordinary citizens joining the wagon, I am sure we can achieve great things and change the lives of our people for the better,” he added.
