Two killed in accident just outside Tembisa
The intersection had to be closed for some hours.
A car collision claimed the lives of two people and left two others injured on the evening of February 8 at the intersection of P91 and Pretoria roads.
According to the City of Ekurhuleni’s Disaster and Emergency Services spokesperson, William Ntladi, a bakkie collided with a sedan.
“Both deceased were travelling in the bakkie with a female passenger who survived the crash and had to be transported to the Zamokuhle Private Hospital.
“The driver of the sedan, who was travelling alone, also survived the crash and was also taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention,” explained
Ntladi.
He said the rescue team from the Kempton Park Fire Station received a call at about 9pm and swiftly responded to the scene for intervention.
“On arrival, the four were given pre-medical treatment, but only two responded positively and the other two were declared dead on the scene,” he said.
He said the intersection had to be closed for some hours until traffic officials and medical personnel were finished working on the scene.
