Let your tekkies be part of a good cause

Casa Caritas needs your support

Put on your tekkies and lace your shoes to help raise funds for Casa Caritas Tekkie Tax Day on May 29.

Tekkie Tax Day has become a household name over the past six years and is fast becoming South Africa’s most important fund-raising campaign for more than 300 local welfare organisations.

Rochelle Bekker, operation’s manager at Casa Caritas, one of the beneficiaries of the tekkie tax, said they would like residents to be part of hundreds of individuals who will make a difference to their organisation.

Casa Caritas is a home of compassion, providing care to severely mentally and physically handicapped people of all races and creeds.

“We are a home for severely disabled people and are very reliant on funds raised by campaigns such as this one, therefore, we need your help, whether it is your first time or you might be an old friend.

“This year, we are running our biggest campaign yet and would love for you to form part of our amazing success at the end of it all,” said Bekker.

Items that can be purchased include stickers at R10 each, Tekkie Tax colourful shoelaces at R40 and badges at R10 each.

Items can be obtained online on ops@casacaritas.org.za and can be collected at Casa Caritas at 7 De Villiers Avenue in Terenure. It can also be delivered.
