“According to what we heard from various eye witnesses, as well as what we could gather from the accident scene, the taxi transporting the learners turned out of the main road into the side road right in front of him,” she said.
Foxcroft grew up in the East Rand and attended Jan de Klerk High School.
“He was a very loving person who lived with a lot of passion. He had a great love for children,” Crafford said.
“We want the families of the two children to know how sorry we are for their loss. Our family grieves with you for the loss of the two young lives as well as that of our brother, son, husband and father.
“No words can explain the sadness we carry in our hearts, not only for Christopher but also for the two children and their families too.
“We request government to do something about these lawless taxi drivers. How many lives must be lost before something gets done?”

Foxcroft leaves behind his wife, Liezel, and his son, who will turn one in March.
