Thembisa residents were treated to a great modelling experience
Blue Berry Modeling Agency hosted the Mr and Miss Valentine’ss centr Thembisa in commemoration of Valentine’s Day at the Moses Molelekwa Arts Centre on Saturday.
Thembisa residents were treated to a great modelling experience when Samantha Moyo, founder of Blue Berry Modeling Agency, hosted the event. This was the agency’s first event for the year, and more events are expected. Moyo, said the agency sought to teach contestants to have an overall knowledge about the theory of modelling and pageantry.
“Our young contestants likes to compete, but lack the theory of the whole concept of modelling. They do not not know, for example, what it means to place a crown on the winner’s forehead, or what a sash really represents,” Moyo said.

Lawrence Gumede was crowned the king while Makwa Mokomu was crowned the first prince and Mr Personality. Thulasizwe Masuku was crowned the second prince.
Lisakhanya Nosilela was crowned the queen, with Kim Matsepe as the first princess and Sarah Mohale as the second princess. Lerato Baloyi was crowned Miss Personality.
Moyo said the event was successful, and would like in the future to have more boys participating in the event.
“My ambitions is to see the agency grow until it finances itself. I will continue to work hard to build future contestants to represent us in national and international stage.”
Lisakhanya Nosilela’s mother, Phumla Chabangu, was joyous when her daughter was crowned queen.
She said she is very supportive of her daughter.
“I was so happy when I heard her number being called out. We have faith in her, and reminded her that in some competitions there might be disappointments, and so she should not give up,” said Chabangu.
