He warned against chancers and people who take advantage of the situation to make money.

Thembisa police are looking for Walter Maqhubela and Mziwamadoda Datini, who were reported missing in May 2019 and January, respectively.

According to Thembisa SAPS spokesperson Capt Ralidzhivha Manyadza, Maqhubela was last seen on May 15, 2019.

The other missing person, Datini, of Winnie Mandela Zone One, was last seen on January 7, 2020, at about 9pm.

“We are appealing to community members to help us reunite these people’s and their families. Any information at this stage could be key,” appealed Manyadza.

He said members of the community can contact Det Sgt Chuma on 071 675 6786 or 073 833 1201 or Thembisa Police Station on 011 920 8000.

He warned against chancers and people who take advantage of the situation to make money.

“There have been cases where people would claim to know where these missing people are and in return they ask for money from the family members. I want to send a strong warning to such people that they will be arrested for conducting themselves in that manner,” warned Manyadza.
