Eskom will continue with stage 2 load shedding from 9am on Thursday until 6am on Saturday owing to the loss of three additional units overnight.

Breakdowns were at 11 938MW at 5.30am on Thursday, while planned maintenance was at 4 654MW.
Emergency reserves are currently being utilised to supplement the shortage in capacity.
Kempton Park’s schedule for Thursday until 8am on Friday is:
9am – 10.30am: No information. Geyser ripple control is no longer implemented. Kempton Express is still waiting for information from the City of Ekurhuleni.
10am – 1pm: Glen Marais, Allen Grove, Norkem Park, Birchleigh Extensions and Bonaero Park
12.30pm – 3.30pm: Birch Acres, Terenure, Edleen, Van Riebeeck Park, Kempton West
3pm – 6pm: Bredell, Pomona, Glen Marais Extensions (49, 52, 89 & 98), Serengeti, Brentwood Park, Aston Manor, Nimrod Park, Parts of Kempton Park Ext 2 & Ext 4
