Meeting to discuss Birch Acres road closure

The agenda also includes choosing street representatives to assist with the administrative tasks

Birch Acres residents and property owners are invited to attend a community meeting on March 7 to discuss road closure in the suburb.

The meeting will take place from 8.45am for 9am at the premises of Birch Acres Football Club on Kransduif Avenue, Birch Acres.

The road closure is for the area bordered by Krombek, Pongola River, Kwartel and Watertrapper streets.

Public safety, security and traffic control will be discussed. The agenda also includes choosing street representatives to assist with the administrative tasks required, and calling for nominations for inclusion on the committee.

The names of all the streets involved in this proposed road closure are: Piet-my-vrou, Hornbill, Kransduif, Heron, Geranium (top part only), Blombos (top part only), Darter, Bloukuifie, Kwêvoël, Gannet, Stork, Egret, Watertrapper, Mmabe and possibly including Tamboekie and Boxwood, depending on the feedback from the town engineer.
