Ivory Park Secondary School awards its top achievers

Family and friends joined to witness the ceremony and the school choir entertained all who were present

Ivory Park Secondary School hosted an awards ceremony at the school’s assembly to recognise learners’ excellence and teachers’ efforts, last week Friday.

The school celebrated the Class of 2019 achieving 100 per cent pass rate in some of the home languages and physical sciences.

Learners from all grades were also awarded for their achievements in academic and extra curriculum activities. The overall grades top achievers of 2019 were as follows:

Grade Eight: Hope Mabulana

Grade Nine: Nelisiwe Majokweni

Grade 10: Itumeleng Makgabo

Grade 11: Bongani Shabangu

Grade 12: Amanda Sibanda.

The school choir also brought two accolades from competitions, as well as the drama group. In addition, all language teachers were awarded for obtaining 100 per cent pass rate from the Class of 2019.
