DA MP to brief portfolio committee on Kempton Park SAPS

A petition addressing inadequate visible policing by Kempton Park SAPS and the station’s shortage of vehicles will serve before Parliament’s portfolio committee on police in March.

Mike Waters, MP and DA constituency head Kempvale, handed the petition, signed by concerned residents, to Parliament.

The speaker of the national assembly referred the petition to the portfolio committee in November last year, requesting the committee to report back to her office on the outcome of the decisions taken by the committee after the petition had been considered.

The portfolio committee on police now invited Waters to brief the committee in Parliament on the petition on March 11.
