Load-shedding returns for most of the week: your schedule

A number of units are still out of service due to breakdowns

After battling all weekend to keep the lights on, Eskom will introduce stage 1 load-shedding from 9am on Monday until 11pm.

It is envisaged that load-shedding will be implemented until Thursday, Eskom said in a statement released on Sunday.

A number of units are still out of service due to breakdowns. These will only return during the week.

Load-shedding will also help Eskom to replenish its its emergency reserves that were depleted. Implementing load-shedding will put Eskom in a better position to meet the rising demand during the week.
