Glen Marikana trouble makers eventually get bail

Suspects that were arrested on public violence charges were granted bail at Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.

The 21 suspects were arrested after a commotion erupted on February 24, the first day of the Glen Marikana relocation.

The matter went to court on March 4 for bail applications, but it was postponed to Wednesday to allow for the confirmation of the suspects’ addresses.

The suspects were granted bail of R1 000 each and the matter will go back to court on March 20.
