Learner (17) dies after being STABBED by fellow learner in Bedfordview

"One of the boys proceeded to take out a knife and stab the other several times". 

Police have arrested a 17-year-old boy after he allegedly stabbed a fellow learner also aged 17 in Bedfordview, yesterday (March 17). The child later died at hospital.

Gauteng SAPS spokesperson, Captain Kay Makhubele said the two school learners reportedly had an argument after school when the incident occurred.

“One of the boys allegedly proceeded to take out a knife and stab the other learner several times”.

Makhubele said the injured teen was taken to hospital where he later died.

The suspect was arrested and will appear in court soon.

“The provincial management of police in Gauteng condemns violent incidents by learners in schools,” said Makhubele
