66 Kempton Park SAPS officers are promoted

Kempton Park SAPS station commander Brig Samuel Maredi welcomed the promotion of 66 of the station’s officers.
Maredi congratulated the members on March 13.
Of the 66 members, 61 were promoted from constables to sergeants, while five were promoted from sergeants to warrant officers.
“The members were excited about their promotions as it would encourage them to work much harder,” said Capt Jethro Mtshali, spokesperson for Kempton Park SAPS.
“Addressing the officers, the station commander emphasised that they deserved promotions due to the hard work they put in at the station, as well as ensuring the community of Kempton Park is free from crime.”
Maredi also hopes the promotions will encourage them to double their efforts to fight crimes such as drugs, robberies, house break-ins and hijackings.
“Working together with communities, the metro police, community police forums and other law-enforcement agencies like security companies, crime can be eradicated,” said Maredi.
