Vee Van Heerden is vying for Mrs Universe SA title
The purpose of the Mrs Universe SA pageant is to support and empower women in South Africa
Finalist Vee Van Heerden is vying for Mrs Universe South Africa 2020, which is taking place on July 24 at the Roodepoort Theatre.
Van Heerden is a pastor, actress, disability activist, sign language interpreter, motivational speaker, multiple-award winner, businesswoman and brand ambassador.
The purpose of the Mrs Universe SA pageant is to support and empower women in South Africa and to bring wealth to the community.
“The pageant creates a platform to inspire, mentor and support women in South Africa. The theme for Mrs Universe South Africa 2020 is fight against domestic violence and abuse. Contestants need to raise awareness and funds for charities to help the victims of this social issue.
“Two winners will be crowned, Mrs Universe SA and Mrs Universe Africa who will take part at Mrs Universe 2020. The Mrs Universe pageant is the biggest pageant globally, catering for married and divorced women. Annually, 90 countries compete for this coveted title,” said Van Heerden.
