Thembisa Hospital: No visitors for 21 days

Visitors restricted at Thembisa Hospital during the lockdown

Thembisa Hospital is taking precautions to deal with the Covid-19 coronavirus 21-day lockdown.

During the lockdown the hospital is working under very strict conditions. Visitors at the hospital are advised to take safety measures and restrictions will apply.

Thembisa Hospital communications officer Nothando Mdluli said the community should note that following the President’s announcement on the country’s lockdown visitors will no longer be allowed for 21 days as of March 27.

“For patients being discharged, their relatives will be notified telephonically and via SMS. You will be required to present the SMS to the security guards. At an appropriate time the community will be notified when visits will resume. Let’s work together in the fight against coronavirus,” said Mdluli.
