Local business women rub shoulders with President

South African women were hosted by President Cyril Ramaphosa at a golf day and gala dinner to showcase women in business

Two Norkem Park women, who started their own ICT company two years ago, were privileged to exhibit their company at the President’s recent women empowerment event.

The event was hosted in conjunction with Minister Maite Nkoana-Mashabane at Blue Valley Golf Estate on March 7.

Promise Mukhari and Jadine Minnie started their company, Vula Access Digital, with a mission to advocate the opportunities for young women within the ICT sector in Ekurhuleni.

South African women were hosted by President Cyril Ramaphosa at a golf day and gala dinner to showcase women in business and also to introduce the women empowerment fund.

The women-owned company is also an award-winning company in Ekurhuleni, having been second runners-up at the Festival of Ideas in the ICT category in 2019.

Vula Access Digital works with stakeholders such as the Ekurhuleni Business Council’s youth wing, Progressive Professionals and PBICT.

Minnie said: “We are an accredited web solutions and wireless internet service provider with ICASA licensing. We believe we can serve our community thus making us the best partner for your events within the region.”
