Feeding scheme launched to help less fortunate

Vouchers can be purchased at Shoprite, Checkers, Pick n Pay, Boxer and SPAR

Ekurhuleni’s National Federated Chamber of Commerce (NAFCOC), Ekurhuleni Business Council (EBC) and City of Ekurhuleni chief whip Jongizizwe Dlabathi appeal to Kempton Park residents to contribute essential items for the underprivileged during lockdown.

Following the call by government for businesses and social partners to assist in curbing the spread of Covid-19, these organisations embarked on a campaign to source and distribute vouchers to needy families.

NAFCOC Ekurhuleni and EBC launched the #21Days1Family1Voucher feeding scheme to help those impacted by Covid-19.

Residents can support affected families with food vouchers.

Vouchers can be purchased at Shoprite, Checkers, Pick n Pay, Boxer and SPAR. Coupons will be collected by the organisation and will be handed out by the chief whip.

This is in a bid to enforce social distancing during the 21 days.

Businesses and corporates are also urged to buy vouchers or donate essential items.

To donate or contribute, contact Modercai Ndlovu on 081 705 2977 or Mpho Mohapi on 076 260 6872.
