Police come together for joint operation

Rabie Ridge police to visit all illegal liquor outlets to confiscate alcohol.

Police members from different police stations came to the Rabie Ridge Police Station to participate in the station commander’s operation on March 20.

The operation mainly focused on stop-and-search roadblocks and this took place at Modderfontein Road near Phomolong Section.

Communications officer Const Jacob Nhlongo said they were searching for illegal goods from vehicles and these included drugs, illegal firearms and more.

He added that they also issued fines to those who did not comply with the Road Traffic Act.

“From the roads we then moved to places where alcohol was sold. We confiscated illegal alcohol and issued fines to those who were selling it,” said Nhlongo.
