Number of Covid-19 cases in Ekurhuleni rises to 141

The department said 62 people were being treated in hospital while 350 have recovered.

The number of positive Covid-19 cases in Gauteng has risen to 865, according to the latest figures released by the Gauteng Department of Health on Monday, April 13.

This is an increase of 64 from Saturday’s figures. The number of deaths remains at three.

In Ekurhuleni, 21 new cases had been confirmed.

The latest figures for Gauteng are (with the figures released on April 11 in brackets):

Johannesburg: 508 (446)

Tshwane: 101 (90)

West Rand: 30 (12)

Sedibeng: 8 (6)

Ekurhuleni: 141 (127)

Unallocated: 77 (127)

Total: 865 (801)
