Seven more Covid-19 cases recorded in Ekurhuleni

The number of cases in Gauteng closes in on 1 000

The number of positive Covid-19 cases in Ekurhuleni has risen by seven from April 13 to April 15.

According to the latest figures released by the Gauteng Department of Health on Wednesday, 148 people in Ekurhuleni had tested positive for the virus.

The number of cases in Gauteng sits at 909, with four deaths recorded.

There had been 399 recoveries with 62 people still in hospital.

According to the department, out of the 5 625 contacts (a person who came into contact with a positive case), 1 694 had been cleared.

Johannesburg: 551 (508)

Tshwane: 100 (101)

West Rand: 35 (30)

Sedibeng: 9 (8)

Ekurhuleni: 148 (141)

Unallocated: 66 (77)
