Murdered Ivory Park boy found in bush
MEC for Community Safety Faith Mazibuko condemned the brutal killings

The Gauteng Social Development Acting MEC Panyaza Lesufi, and MEC for Community Safety Faith Mazibuko, on Saturday visited the families of two children who were recently brutally murdered in Ivory Park and Orange Farm respectively.
It is alleged that an 11-year-old boy went missing on Friday, April 10. The family reported him missing at the local police station. The body of the boy was found on Sunday, April 12 in a bush at Mayibuye in Rabie Ridge.
In the other case, a five-year-old body was found dead, naked on the floor inside Ekasi Tavern on April 15.
“We condemn the gruesome and senseless killing of the children who were found during the lockdown period. Incidents of this nature are becoming a regular occurrence within the province. I have instructed the police to work around the clock to ensure that the perpetrators of these crimes are brought to book to face the full might of law,” said Mazibuko.
“On behalf of the Gauteng Government, we would like convey our sincere condolences to the bereaved families and wish them strength during this time of grief,” said Lesufi.
