Under His Covering steps in to alleviate hunger but needs help
'We ask people and companies to step forward, join hands with Under His Covering and assist with donating water, food parcels, potatoes, vegetables, milk powder, etc.'

It is a sad and tragic reality that it is only when famine strikes, or severe malnutrition manifests itself, that people consider responding to their fellow human beings.
Under His Covering, a NPO from Kempton Park, aims to supply food parcels to those in need in the upcoming months.
“It is unacceptable that we ignore the suffering of hungry children or adults simply because they are not yet near death. Mercy and compassion should spur an early intervention, so alleviating the prolonged suffering and eventual death of those in need,” said Carike Pretorius, project manager.
“We readily acknowledge that food parcel provision is not a sustainable long-term solution but a very necessary response to alleviate the suffering being experienced during this lockdown. In the absence of a viable alternative, the provision of a food parcels might well be life-saving.
“We will provide food parcels to disaster victims during the upcoming months. Many projects have been launched but people have been overwhelmed with calls from families in need of food the past two weeks but found no type of relief. This is why we would like to step forward and assist with relief. No children should face hunger,” Pretorius said.
“We ask people and companies to step forward, join hands with Under His Covering and assist with donating water, food parcels, potatoes, vegetables, milk powder, etc.
“We are acknowledged as an essential service to operate during the lockdown. Under His Covering NPO is considering all the requests pouring in. We are taking delivery of 100 000 washable face masks and hand sanitiser to be distributed to all underprivileged people, old age homes, homeless people and more.
“Under His Covering needs to raise money to start the project.”
