Harambee buses run again under strict level four regulations

Harambee passengers can now confidently board the Harambee buses during lockdown restrictions.
President Cyril Ramaphosa announced as of May the lockdown restrictions will relax from level five to level four.

KTVR Bus Services marketing and media relations officer Tebogo Modise said every passenger and bus driver must at all times wear masks and sanitise their hands. A person without a mask will not be allowed to board the bus.
“All buses are to be disinfected and sanitised before and after every trip, social distancing will be adhered to in line with regulations, and a limited number of passengers will be allowed per bus.
“The buses resumed operation on May 6 between 5am and 9am (peak hours) every 20 minutes and between 9am and 3pm (off-peak hours) every hour. Between 3pm and 7pm there will be buses every 20 minutes,” said Modise.
Ticket selling points are Thembisa Hospital, Rabasotho Civic Centre, Station 14 Birch Acres Mall, corner of Plane and Isando Roads, and Kempton Park Civic Centre.
Only 19 passengers seated and 11 standing will be allowed on buses to comply with social distancing regulations.
The usual routes will be operational: (1) Thembisa Hospital to Isando and back; and (2) Thembisa Hospital to ORTIA Cargo Terminal.
