Drugs worth nearly R4-million seized in Kempton Park

Eight suspects have been taken into custody

A variety of drugs worth nearly R4-million were confiscated in Kempton Park on Tuesday.

Ekurhuleni Metro Police spokesperson Kobeli Mokheseng said eight Nigerian nationals were arrested during the operation conducted by the the EMPD K9 unit and the North Task Team.

The suspects were caught with mandrax tablets, crystal meth, dagga, heroin and khat valued at R3 790 000 and R3 600 cash.

The men were detained at Kempton Park Police Station for possession and dealing in illicit substances.
