Number of Ekurhuleni Covid-19 cases reaches 600
Three quarantine/isolation centres in Gauteng have been made available
On May 24, the City of Ekurhuleni had recorded 606 Covid-19 cases with 452 recoveries and eight deaths.
The figures for the sub-districts in Ekurhuleni were (in brackets are the numbers recorded on May 10):
Ekurhuleni North 1 (Kempton Park, Crystal Park, Ethafeni, Olifantsfontein, Tembisa, Winnie Mandela): 197 (135)
Ekurhuleni North 2 (Bedfordview, Boksburg, Chief Albert Luthuli, Dan Kubheka, Edenvale, Endayeni, Esangweni, Itireleng, Kemston, Lethabong, Ramaphosa, Reiger Park, Van Dyk Park): 123 (107)
Ekurhuleni East 1 (Etwatwa, Daveyton, Brakpan, Tsakane): 50 (39)
Ekurhuleni East 2 (Springs, Kwa-Thema, Duduza, Nigel): 42 (31)
Ekurhuleni South 1 (Alberton, Brackenhurst, Eden Park, Primrose, Germiston, Leondale, Dawn Park, Tswelopele, Vosloorus, Villa Liza): 116 (88)

The three quarantine/isolation centres in Gauteng which are available to receive patients are Esselen Park, Nasrec and Eskom.
