In preparing for the return to school by learners, teachers and support staff, Sonrise Christian School has provided for numerous steps to be taken to prevent the spreading of the coronavirus.
Both the interior and exterior of the school had been decontaminating by a professional sanitising company.
PPE for all learners and staff are ready and hand sanitisers have been placed throughout the school.
The temperature of all persons entering the school premises will be taking and recorded and their hands will be sanitised.
Professional hygienists will train cleaning staff on how to maximise the effectiveness of cleaning procedures and a protocol has been drawn up to be observed by all persons on the premises in conformance of the guidelines and regulations issued by various authorities.
Specially designed fun themed face shields are included in the PPE packs to be given to younger learners with standard face shields and cloth masks to be given to all other learners and staff in their PPE packs.
The school has, through e-mails and other media interactions, kept parents advised of communications with the various regulatory bodies and their instructions throughout the lockdown, while continuing education through on-line programmes.
