Tembisa duo to release new EP mid-June
The EP will be available on all online music stores once released
DJ KingCya and Hlokza 11 collaborated on their soon-to-be released Banamanga EP in mid-June.
DJ King Cya, whose real name is Siyabonga Hlungwane, is a resident DJ at a local well-known tavern Ma Afrika.
The DJ says his music has evolved from Afro-soul to amapiano, a genre made famous by well-known DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small.
“I am inspired by the Scorpion Kings album by these DJs, they do a different kind of sound that makes people dance and enjoy music. My music is a fusion of many techniques.”
His music partner is Hlokza11, whose real name is Nhlamulo Makhubela.
“He is a great vocalist and he understands my sound. We completed two songs already and have four more to master since the EP is a six-track project.”
The EP will be available on all online music stores once released. For now, people will be updated through my Facebook page at DJ KingCya, said DJ KingCya.
