Care Well donates PPE to Ivory Park Secondary School

Care Well Ambulances donated 250 masks and 120 litres of sanitiser to matric learners of Ivory Park Secondary School on June 8.

Thabi Langa, public relations officer of Care Well Ambulances, said it gave them great pleasure as a black-owned business to donate to a township school.

“It is not only the learners’ responsibility to protect themselves from the virus, everyone should make sure everyone is safe. These are our future leaders, one day they will tell their children they obtained their education during the Covid-19 lockdown,” he said.

“We urge all learners to sanitise their hands and wear their masks at all times because so far it has been the only way to prevent the spread of the virus. In addition, we wish the Class of 2020 good luck with their studies and exams.

“Ivory Park Secondary principal Edith Mamosebo welcomed the donation and wished Care Well Ambulances well with their business.

“We are over the moon and appreciate the gesture. Ivory Park, as seen on the news, is one of the hot spots,” said Mamosebo.

“We need to educate everyone. We will be handing out pamphlets to learners to go home with. Orientation, screening and sanitising will also take place every morning.

“Learners will also be served lunch and breakfast; everyone has their own plates, cup and spoon. Every day everything is disinfected and ready for use,” she said.

The learners are sanitised when they enter the school gate with their masks on. There are also sanitisers installed in every class and in the toilets.
