Three suspects were arrested on Friday afternoon with the assistance of security officers.
This comes after a motorist was allegedly approached by the three suspects after she had stopped at a traffic light on Highveld Road.

“One of the suspects allegedly tried to grab her car keys but the victim responded by hooting which drew the attention of nearby security officers,” said Capt Jethro Mtshali, spokesperson for Kempton Park SAPS.
“When the officers approached the targeted vehicle, the suspects tried to flee but the officers caught up to them.”
All three suspects were arrested on attempted robbery charges and were detained at the Kempton Park Police Station pending their appearances at the Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court.
