
Kempton Park SAPS, in conjunction with other law enforcement agencies in the Ekurhuleni District Zone 1, which consists of nine police stations, embarked on various operations during which 195 suspects were arrested for various crimes over the weekend.
According to Kempton Park SAPS spokesperson, Sgt Dipuo Ditshego, the arrests made included assault, driving under the influence of alcohol, dealing in dagga, rape, theft, land invasion, malicious damage to property, armed robbery, murder and possession of hijacked motor vehicle.

“Our communities and police need to work together to curb crime. It is important for us to not turn a blind eye to crime.
“The weekend success resulted in successful arrests and so the fight against crime continues,” said Ditshego.
Those arrested are expected to appear in the Thembisa and Kempton Park magistrate courts soon.
