MES clients are geared for greatness, thanks to SITA
SITA’s sponsorship comprised of 14 new laptops, a printer, projector, screen and accredited learning programme focused on self-development, resilience, employability and entrepreneurial skills.
On Wednesday, SITA was the embodiment of the spirit of giving as they donated laptops, food parcels and Santa care packs to Mould Empower Serve (MES) Kempton Park.
The company has been actively involved in supporting local communities over the years through information and communications technology (ICT) development projects, done through the deployment of fully sponsored computer centres and skills programmes.
“This year, SITA chose to partner with MES Kempton Park to support the shelter community with ICT equipment and skills workshops so that they can reach their full potential and continue to make a positive impact through this learning centre and after- school grow programme,” project manager Fiona Kahn said.
SITA’s sponsorship comprised of 14 new laptops with software and accessories, a printer, projector and screen for facilitation.
Their donation also included accredited learning programme workshops focused on self-development, resilience, employability and entrepreneurial skills.

She added that with the employment sector becoming ever more challenging due to the predicaments facing South Africa, job seekers should use all resources that circumstance would allow.
“Having a computer centre would help jobseekers to better equip themselves for the hunt if they had computer technology and internet to their disposal to brush up their CVs and seek opportunities.
“What’s even more special is that we know that MES will also enrich the learners enrolled at their after-school programme,” Khan said.
To commemorate this initiative, the SITA team provided a celebratory lunch and care packs for everyone in the MES Kempton Park community.
“SITA feels privileged and honoured to be able to partner with MES to create success and looks forward to an ongoing and prosperous relationship with MES in supporting their vision to mould, empower and serve.”
MES Kempton Park branch manager Helena van Blerk said that words cannot express the gratitude for the tremendous aid SITA has offered.
“We know that our beneficiaries’ gratitude will be out of this world and that they will be thrilled to learn all the new possibilities they now have access to.
“I’m especially excited to see how this will benefit our after-school programme learners who are now equipped with technology to help them with their school assignments,” van Blerk said.
Van Blerk vowed to safeguard this new technology and gifts at their disposal to ensure that future clients and beneficiaries will also be able to reap the benefits for years to come.
