Thembisan youth create employment

Thembisa Youngsters enrolled in a furniture production programme.

Young Thembisan entrepreneurs are showing that unemployment shouldn’t be a barrier for the youth to choose their paths, leverage their talents and follow their dreams.

Refiloe Mokulubete, Papa Mokulubete, Dimpho Maqhashalala and Thanduxolo Maqhashalala who started SM3 Trading and Projects in 2015 are known for their superb craftsmanship.

They make furniture for homes and commercial use.

“Unemployment has given us the ability to get into something that we never thought we would see ourselves doing, entrepreneurship. “We have learned a lot about ourselves.

“Covid-19 has done a lot of damage to the township economy.

“People have lost their income and we now aim to create employment so that people in the community can have an income.

“Our message for those who want to start a business is just to just start.”
