Local novelist speaks about her book

Pauline Serite asked God to show her her talent and she later discovered that her talent has always been writing.

Pauline Serite has celebrated the release of her book, There Is God, which was published on May 18 by the Reach Publishers in Cape Town.
The 42-year-old novelist from Khatlamping Section describes her background as a disadvantaged one, which led her to have a relationship with God.
“I still managed to go to school, from elementary to secondary school, until I obtained my accounting diploma with the University of South Africa, although it was not an easy journey,” Serite said.
Her book was published after she asked God to reveal her talent. She later discovered that her talent has always been writing, which led to the birth of the novel.
“I am eternally grateful for discovering my ability.”
Serite hopes that her book will have a positive impact on the Thembisan community, particularly young people who have committed their life to alcohol and drugs.
According to her the scourge of substance abuse has affected their mental health and ability to achieve their goals and aspirations.
