Free accredited courses for Thembisa youth

Thembisa's youth can now take advantage of free accredited courses.

Atvance Academy hopes to collaborate with local schools to provide free education to Thembisan youngsters while simultaneously propelling them into the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

The initiative is registering youth between the ages of 18 to 27 for a SAQA-accredited national certificate in occupational health and safety and new venture creation and information and technology.

The initiative will be accommodating 350 students for each course.

Tebogo Ramokgoma of Atvance Academy said through training and skill development, they enhance the lives of young unemployed South Africans.

“We engage with businesses to reduce unemployment and educate jobless youngsters, drawing on our consulting and training experience.

“South Africa has a high percentage of unemployment, but the skills training we offer provide people an opportunity to find work. Since we do not offer online courses yet, we have experienced a negative impact due to level restrictions, which has resulted in students dropping out. However, we maintain communication with students and provide them with homework,” said Ramokgoma.
