Tshepang Christmas lunch a success

Tshepang Care Centre hosted its annual Christmas lunch.

Christmas came early for 900 children of Vusimuzi informal settlement in Thembisa when Tshepang Care Centre hosted its annual Christmas lunch on December 11.
Several sponsors came forward to support this year's event.
Children enjoyed a fun-filled day at the jumping castle with music and dance after a meal and the magician stole the show by entertaining the children.
He performed several magic tricks and engaged with the audience.
The hand of giving was extended to Tshepang women who received gifts of appreciation for their hard work throughout the year.
Sarah Sibiya, the founder of Tshepang, thanked all those who made the day a success and played a role in making sure the children enjoyed the day.
“It was a successful event. To all our sponsors and supporters, we thank you for your love and support,” she said.
“The year has not been easy, but your kindness and dedication kept Tshepang going and our future leaders will never forget your generosity.”
Patience Ramashapa from Tshepang said they catered to over 900 children, and some adults from the community also joined in the fun.
“What's amazing is that we not only fed children but some parents too. I was happy to see the pillars of our communities join us – after all, we all need each other to survive,” said Ramashapha.
