Shangri-La Academy matrics excel

The matric class of 2021, which comprised of 30 learners achieved 44 distinctions.

Shangri-La Academy’s matriculants again excelled as the academy achieved a 100% pass rate, which has been the tradition since the inception of the academy.

The matric class of 2021, which comprised of 30 learners, achieved 44 distinctions.

In addition to the high number of distinctions, the academy was in the top 1% in the country for mathematics literacy.

“We are thrilled to once again achieve a 100% pass rate, which is testament to the high standards and quality of education provided by the academy. On behalf of all of us at the academy, I wish the matric class of 2021 all the best and know that they’ll all flourish in their chosen fields,” said Jones, the principal of the high school.

Shangri-La Academy’s top learners who each individually achieved five distinctions were:
• Kirsten Delport obtained distinctions in mathematics, business studies, English (home language), life orientation and Afrikaans (first additional language)
• Nwabisa Tantsi obtained distinctions in mathematics literacy, dramatic arts, English (home language), history and life orientation
• Adheer Dhanasir obtained distinctions in mathematics, business studies, English (home language), life orientation and geography
• Tyler Ginn obtained distinctions in mathematics, geography, English (home language), life science and life orientation.
