Over the weekend of February 26, the first team up was the Avion Impala 2 side, who took on Bedfordview Country Club.

BCC batted first, scoring 160 for the loss of four wickets in 25 overs.

In reply, Avion was all out for 60 runs in 14 overs to hand BCC a 100-run win.

Avion’s u-10 Carnival side faced Alberton at Randhart Primary School.

Alberton batted first and scored 185 for the loss of three wickets in 25 overs.

Avion replied with 19 all out.

The Avion u-12 sun team took on Kempton Park.

Kempton batted first, scoring 154 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs.

Avion’s players were bowled out for 43 runs.

Avion’s best bowler for the match was Wico la Grange, who conceded seven runs and took one wicket in three overs.

Quinton Smith was named Avion’s best batsman, with 16 runs.

The Avion Park u-8 Impala 2 team faced Duduza on the Kempton Park E Field.

Duduza batted first and reached 54 runs in 19 overs before the team was bowled out.

Avion replied by reaching the target in 18 overs for the loss of six wickets.

Jodey Coertse topped the bowling figures by taking five wickets for three runs in three overs, while JayJay

Bezuidenhout followed suit with one wicket for two runs in two overs.

Avion Park u-8 Impala 1 side’s match against Kempton Park was called off due to lightning in the area.

The u-8 Carnival side from Avion faced Old Bens.

Old Bens batted first and scored 91 runs for the loss of two wickets in 20 overs.

Avion replied with 95 runs for the loss of two wickets in their 20 batting overs to win the match by four runs.

Best Avion batsmen game was Juandre van Rensburg with 16 not out and Handre Cronje with 10 runs not out.

Cronje also took two wickets in his bowling spell.

Avion won the toss and chose to bat first setting up a score of 88 for the loss of eight in 25 overs.

SOB replied with 89 runs for the loss of four wickets in 19 overs.

The Avion u-12 Carnival side took on rivals from Kempton Park at Laerskool Brentwood Park.

Avion batted first and scored 139 runs for the loss of six wickets in 25 overs.

Top scorer for the game was Juandre with 43 undefeated runs.

Marais and Jaisen each racked up 17 runs.

In Kempton’s reply, the team scored 107 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 25 overs to give Avion a 32 run win.

Marais shone with the ball taking two wickets in four overs for 14 runs followed by Keegan with one wicket in three overs.

Avion’s u-14 Impala side faced Vosloorus at the Rhodesfield grounds.

Avion won the toss and chose to bat first setting up a score of 241 for the loss of three.

Dian smashed his century scoring 101 off 73 balls, while Jeandre made 35 off 22 balls and Duimpie 24 off 25 balls.
Vosloorus replied with 36 all out.

Jeandre Buitendag took seven wickets for 16 runs in five overs and Gerrie Beetge and Dillon Dippenaar bagged one wicket each.

The Avion u-8 Impala1 was pitted against the Avion Impala 2 side.

Avion 1 batted first scoring 56 runs in 20 overs.

Avion 2 replied with 57 runs for the loss of six to win the match.

The u-10 Avion Impala 2 faced Benoni.

Benoni posted 107 all out and Avion replied with 108 for the loss of five wickets in just 15.3 overs.

Avion’s u-10 Carnival side met Old Bens on the field.

Avion batted first and scored 146 runs for the loss of six wickets in 25 overs.

Old Bens replied with 147 for six with four balls to spare to win by four wickets.
